🎉 A HUGE congratulations to Dr Jacob! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to share that Dr Jacob has recently become a certified Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in the Surgery Chapter! 🩺🐾

This is an additional postgraduate qualification on top of his veterinary degree and is a fantastic recognition of his advanced knowledge, skills and dedication to veterinary surgery.

Achieving Membership requires a huge amount of study, commitment and hard work.

🦷🐾 Dental Month is just around the corner!

September is Dental Month, so we thought Maverick had perfect timing when he came in today for his annual dental! 🐶✨

Ever wondered what actually happens when your pet comes in for a dental? Maverick is taking you behind the scenes! 🎥

During his dental procedure, our team performed:

🩻 Full-mouth dental X-rays — because a large portion of dental disease can be hiding below the gumline where we can’t see it.

🦷 A thorough scale — removing plaque and hardened tartar from above and below the gumline.

✨ A professional polish using our new dental machine — leaving those pearly whites smooth, clean and shiny!

❤️ A complete oral assessment — checking each tooth and the surrounding gums for signs of disease, damage or anything that may be causing discomfort.

Regular dental checks and professional cleans are an important part of looking after both dogs AND cats. 🐶🐱

They can help:
• Prevent and manage periodontal disease
• Reduce plaque, tartar and bad breath 🤭
• Identify painful or damaged teeth early
• Detect problems hiding beneath the gumline with dental X-rays
• Reduce the risk of infection and tooth loss
• Keep your pet’s mouth comfortable and healthy long-term ❤️

And remember… pets can be VERY good at hiding dental pain. They may continue eating even when they have significant dental disease!
