 Laparoscopic spey surgery

We understand the importance of utilising advancements in the veterinary medicine field, which is why we specialise in Laparoscopic spey surgery.

Dr Jason Rapke has performed hundreds of Laparoscopic Spey desexing procedures and is one of Victoria’s most experienced surgeons in this field. The Lap Spey is performed using laparoscopic equipment, which drastically reduces the size of the incision needed for a spey procedure. This results in much less post-operative pain, faster recovery and less wound complications.

You can rely on us as your experts in pet care.

🐣🌸 Happy Easter from our team! 🌸🐣

Easter is a wonderful time for family, ...fun… and lots of chocolate 🍫 — but it can be dangerous for our furry friends.

⚠️ Did you know?
Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to dogs and cats. Even small amounts can cause serious illness, especially dark chocolate.

🐾 Signs of chocolate toxicity include:
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Restlessness or hyperactivity
• Increased heart rate
• Tremors or seizures

🐶 Keep pets safe this Easter:
🐰 Store all chocolate and treats out of reach
🐰 Remind kids not to share sweets with pets
🐰 Be mindful of Easter egg hunts (check the area afterward)
🐰 Opt for pet-safe treats instead

🚨 If your pet eats chocolate:
Don’t wait for symptoms, contact your vet immediately. The sooner we act, the better the outcome.

We’re here if you need us.
wishing you and your pets a safe, happy, and chocolate-free Easter! 🐾

Happy International Women’s Day 💅🏻
...🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸

Today we’re celebrating the incredible women who make up our team. We feel so lucky to work alongside such inspiring, intelligent and compassionate women every day.

Veterinary medicine is built on dedication, teamwork and heart, and we’re constantly in awe of the women here who pour so much of themselves into caring for animals and supporting each other. From the big wins to the long days, it’s a privilege to stand beside a team of women who are not only amazing professionals, but genuinely kind, supportive humans too.

Thank you for the skill, strength, empathy and laughter you bring to our clinic every day. The animals (and their humans) are so lucky to have you.

Happy International Women’s Day to the wonderful women in our team and to women everywhere. 🌸

Swipe to see this pup’s smile before... their dental procedure!

Just like us, pets can develop dental disease when plaque and tartar build up on their teeth. Over time, this can lead to painful infections, bad breath, loose teeth, and inflamed gums. But it doesn’t stop in the mouth, bacteria from dental disease can travel through the bloodstream and affect important organs like the heart, liver, and kidneys.

A professional dental procedure allows us to:
🐶 Remove plaque and tartar
🦷 Clean above and below the gum line
🔍 Check for damaged or infected teeth
🩻 X-ray the entire mouth
💊 Treat painful dental disease early

The result?
✔️ Fresher breath
✔️ Healthier gums and teeth
✔️ Less pain
✔️ Better overall health and quality of life

Dental care is a big part of keeping our pets happy & healthy and ensuring that their pearly whites continue to ✨ 😄🐾

If you’ve noticed bad breath, red gums, or difficulty chewing, it might be time for a FREE dental check with one of our wonderful nurses.
